FUSE SEARCH Integration
We use Higher Logic's API to index your Higher Logic-based content. We get metadata over the webservice that we can use as filters in your search like the names of the forums, dates, tags, and authors.
Of note, we also used to connect to Higher Logic competitor Socious until Higher Logic acquired them in early 2017! FUSE is a Higher Logic Solution Partner.
What can be Indexed?
You can surface the following content using the API ― in order of most frequently accessed by FUSE clients:
Discussions
Resource Library
Blogs
Events
Announcements
Volunteer Opportunities
Contacts
Code of Conduct
Demographics
Messages
Friends
Page Visits
Registrant Types
If you’re ready to allow FUSE access to this content via Higher Logic’s API, check out our three-step instructions to get that process started!
Using Higher Logic as your CMS?
Does your organization also use Higher Logic as its website platform (content management system ― CMS)? Higher Logic’s API (detailed above) isn’t designed to reach that content.
Instead, Higher Logic has a user control available that outputs its CMS data (‘Microsites,’ in Higher Logic speak) in XML. Here’s what you can surface using this method:
Microsites (some organizations have more than one)
Microsite Content
Glossary
eGroups
eGroup Messages
Other items can be indexed using this method, too — resource library, blogs, and announcements — but it’s preferred to use the API method (see above) for those.
If you’re ready to allow FUSE access to your Higher Logic-based website content via Higher Logic’s XML Output User Control, visit our four-step instructions to get the ball rolling.
